Summer is almost over, but the summer savings don’t have to end!

Backdrops Fantastic — Wed, 13 Aug 2014 20:44:00 +0000

Here at Backdrops Fantastic, we strive to bring you the best value in the industry by providing the absolute highest-quality backdrops at competitive prices to fit any budget. One of the ways in which we try to save our customers money is through our annual Summer Special. Each year, this special allows our customers with summer events and productions to rent backdrops at a deeply discounted rate.

In previous years, this special applied only to backdrop rentals for events taking place through the end of August. We realized, however, that the summer season is actually a slow time for many of our customers. School is out of session for the summer, so that means high school theatre productions and dance recitals are over. There is also a decrease in the number of corporate events being held. So, naturally, if there are fewer events taking place during the summer, that means there are fewer customers who are able to save with the summer deal. That’s why this year we decided to make our summer special even better by extending it beyond the summer months, allowing more of our customers to take advantage of these fantastic savings.

The 2014 Endless Summer $499 Backdrop Rental Special

Here’s the deal: for all events and productions happening between now and November 1^st, all backdrop rentals are just $499! This offer includes FREE round-trip shipping within the continental USA. The backdrops just have to be ordered by August 31, 2014 and shippedby October 31, 2014. As with all offers, there are some terms and conditions that apply, and you can see all the details here.

There are just two weeks left to take advantage of this fantastic summer deal, but in case you miss it, we have ways for you save year-round too.

We also have our ongoing $299 backdrop rental specials and $399 backdrop rental specials on over 250 quality backdrops.

Whatever the season, Backdrops Fantastic is here to help you find the perfect backdrop for your event at the best possible price.

Creating New Backdrops

Backdrops Fantastic — Wed, 04 May 2011 22:16:00 +0000

Where do we get the ideas for new backdrops? Many times it is our clients who inspire us. We take their comments and requests very seriously. If someone requests a new backdrop, and we believe it is something others will appreciate, we begin the process of creating.

Our dance teachers always have suggestions for new designs for their recital themes. Over the last couple of years we have created The Daily News, Flipping Channels, and Weather Map for our dance clients. This year we are adding Fun & Games, Coast to Coast and Transportaion to meet their needs.

Many of our creative event planners have ideas for new themes and have led us to create an entire series of backdrops. We created the Pirate backdrops backdrops to wrap a large gymnasium. Our newest set of backdrops is the Tropicana. We are continuing to add backdrops to many other themes including the Oriental series.

After the new idea has been adopted, we start the work of producing the backdrop. Our designers begin the preliminary design. They will work many hours refining their original image and getting feedback from the client throughout the design process. When they are satisfied they have created the best design possible for the new backdrop the painting will begin.

With the new design in hand the team of artists in the Backdrops Fantastic Studio begin to bring the 800 square feet of fabric to life. Over several days the blank canvas is transformed to create a piece of art. The meticulous care that is taken in every step of the creative process makes the difference in producing another mediocre backdrop or a truly fantastic backdrop.

What Do You Do With those Beige Walls?

Backdrops Fantastic — Thu, 15 Jul 2010 19:59:00 +0000

We get calls all the time from people with the same dilemma – they’re planning the event; they’ve got great centerpieces, beautiful linens, amazing entertainment and BORING CREAM/TAUPE/BEIGE WALLS. Their themed event needs something to bring everything together… something that will transform their blank space into an unforgettable event.

Now, what could be simpler than hanging a backdrop? Immediately, the room has been transformed from dull to spectacular. Backdrops Fantastic has already created hundreds of hand-painted themed backdrops for the event planner. Nothing could be easier! Instead of hauling hundreds of plants and props into the space, take a few minutes, and install a piece of artwork that will wow your guests.

Check out all the themes at http://www.backdropsfantastic.com and take your guests to Africa, Egypt, Paris, New York, a ball game, to the 80’s, the carnival or even to Outer Space. Where will you celebrate the Fourth?

Backdrops Fantastic — Wed, 30 Jun 2010 18:57:00 +0000

Wherever you are we hope you will be able to see the FIREWORKS!

Fireworks were associated with Independence Day celebrations even before the signing of the Declaration. The earliest settlers brought their love of fireworks to this country. Firings of black powder were used to celebrate holidays and to impress the natives. By the time of the American Revolution, fireworks had long played a part in celebrating important events.

John Adams wrote on July 3, 1776 to his wife, after the Continental Congress had decided to proclaim the American colonies independent of England,”The day will be most memorable in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival … It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade…bonfires and illuminations (fireworks) from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore.”

It was natural, then, that not only John Adams but also many of his countrymen should think of fireworks when independence was declared. The very first celebration of Independence Day was in 1777, six years before Americans knew whether the new nation would even survive the war, and fireworks were a part of the celebration.

233 Years later we are still celebrating!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA

How Many Ways Can You Use the Same Backdrop?

Backdrops Fantastic — Wed, 30 Jun 2010 18:01:00 +0000

Backdrops Fantasic finds it interesting to see how clients use the same backdrop in so many different ways!Their imagination is astonishing – they are always coming up with new party ideas.

For Example:

Take one of our favorite backdrops: Tropical Beach Sunset

The amateur event planner seeing this backdrop would automatically think, “Beach Party!”

A Beach Party is a great idea, but is that all we can do with this backdrop? Not if you start thinking out of the box. All of a sudden ideas start flowing:

Castaway Party

Survivor Party

Christmas in July

South Pacific

Luau

Jamaica Me Crazy Party

Blue Lagoon Getaway

Surfing USA

Now we’ve started, can you add any?

Our point?

Don’t be generic! Give your events some specificity and excitement. Our backdrops can handle it!

Memorial Day: Remembering

Backdrops Fantastic — Thu, 27 May 2010 18:53:00 +0000

Stars & Stripes one of the many patriotic backdrops produced by Backdrops Fantastic.

Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while serving in the American military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, at least, it marks the beginning of summer.

In this day and age we often forget the historical meaning of memorial day. Memorial Day history is about honoring those who have died in service to our nation. It is about remembering the courage and strength about those who gave their lives.

The staff at Backdrops Fantastic wants to take this time to pay tribute to all the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. We want to encourage you to stop sometime over the weekend to show your appreciation to those who have died and to those who are serving.
