Both our hometown of Macon, Georgia and Washington DC are in the midst of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Everywhere I look, gorgeous pink blossoms line the streets.

What better way to bring the outside in, than to have a fabulous Spring Party!

]]> http://www.backdropsfantastic.com/blog/2010/03/all-new/feed/ 0 We’ve Got Your Back http://www.backdropsfantastic.com/blog/2010/02/weve-got-your-back/ http://www.backdropsfantastic.com/blog/2010/02/weve-got-your-back/#comments Tue, 23 Feb 2010 16:46:00 +0000 http://www.backdropsfantastic.com/blog/?p=25 In the event industry, there are thousands of options to choose from when you’re figuring out your total concept. Thousands. After deciding on the initial theme, it’s still easy to become overwhelmed when you’re doing your brainstorming ont the specifics:

Live dancers, or the videos screens?
Linen or the spandex table covers?
Waitstaff or food stations?

Let me just say, I feel your pain! In planning a completely original, fabulous (and hopefully not budget breaking) shindig, you’ve got to have your A-game. You’ve got to have trust in the vendors you choose. You’ve got to be able to delegate. And most of all, you’ve got to be able to wow that client because there’s nothing better than return business.

As far as vendors go, I want you to know that Backdrops Fantastic completely supports you! We get that you eat, sleep and work this event every minute! We’re on your team! We want you to shine!

Understand that when you let us take a small part in your event, we understand that overall picture. This isn’t just a sale to us. This is a relationship that we want to nurture with you so you (not just your decor) can shine!

We’ve got your back. I promise.

I love awards season. Grammys, Oscars, Emmys, People’s Choice, the list goes on and on. As many of you are aware, not only does the celebrity world get their pick of awards shows, the event industry has their fair share of awards shindigs as well- Spotlight Awards and Gala Awards just to name a couple. The Gala Awards are over, but the Spotlight Awards will be announced in March at the Event-Solutions/Catersource show in Las Vegas- where we will have a booth!! Come visit us at #1614- we’re giving away a Free Backdrop Rental!!

In the meantime and in the spirit of awards season, I’d like to give some personal awards to some newcomers who have made a splash in and out of our office:

Drum roll, please…

Winner of the “Place I’d Most Like to Escape for a Weekend Getaway” Award

Italian Riviera 3

Who wouldn’t want to visit this wonderful location?? That beach chair has my name on it! Whoever rents this next, please let me know so I can make plans to attend!

Winner of the “Get Up and Dance” Award

I-Dance Pink

Oh my. This just makes my legs want to start moving away! Not only does this look have great color and style, but I will guarantee when guests take a look at this, their energy will skyrocket!

And finally,

Winner of the “Out of this World” Award

Zodiac

What’s your sign? This winner should also win a “Coolest Event” Award- every space party pic I’ve seen has truly been out of this world!

There they are, folks. The winners of my mind! Speaking of winners, have you signed up to be a winner yet? If not, make sure to do so now!
